So, I've got three more pages of O Holy Hello to spruce up before I send them off to SLG Publishing. They say it will take at least six months before I hear from them. Six months! Boy, they must have to sort through a lot of unsolicited proposals.
I keep wondering if perhaps SLG would find my M Project comic more their style. It's very cartoon macabre, like the majority of their titles. I only have 4 pages of this so far however, and I'm not entirely sure where I'm going with it just yet. Plus, it doesn't have nearly the following that O Holy Hello has.
I know this sounds kind of impatient, but I hope they quickly glance at my stuff and realize right away that it's gold and they should get me on their team.
Though, I wonder what other publishing company I would want to work for. Archie would probably not touch my more mature work with a 10 foot pole, and besides Serena and Sonic the Hedgehog, I haven't really seen anything Asian Fusion.
As famous as DC and Marvel are, I know next to nothing about them other than what superheroes they have and some historic significance.
Anyhow, I established and linked a Twitter account today. I did that for you guys. Do you hear me? I don't understand why Twitter is such a big thing. :p
I'm thinking I may post another O Holy Hello page in the near future. My deadline is tick tick ticking away for the first chapter to be done. October is right around the corner. I can't wait to start printing off the first chapter and be making some money.
I have a personal relationship with each comic.
O Holy Hello is my obsession, my personal diary, and my close friend. Thinking of it reminds me of some people I think I'll keep close to my heart for the rest of my life.
The Ultima Esperanza is my baby, my tutorial, my learning experience. It's like a childhood friend, someone who has seen my triumphs, growth, and mistakes. It reminds me of when I was in Japan and I published something for the first time. It also reminds me of my own childhood, and of the people who were willing to let me suck them into my world for the first time.
M Project is my experiment, my attempts to not be so serious and serial. It's something I try really hard to just slap together, rather than spend a million hours doing. It's fun.
O Holy Hello Chapter 1 is coming soon in book format, ready for you to purchase. The first 100 orders get my personalized signature and a number. And if you throw in another 5 bucks, you'll get a personalized sketch as well.
